Startup Expo for GPAccelerator Batch 5 held

GPAccelerator organized Startup Expo for the Batch 5 at GPHouse on 9th September 2018. The five selected teams from Batch 5 of GPAccelerator showcased their products during the event. With a great response, the event was participated by the key stakeholders like visitors, mentors and GrameenPhone employees.


GPAccelerator in collaboration with Startup Dhaka is an innovation-driven accelerator program. GPAccelerator caters for homegrown early stage tech-based startups. The selected startups receive seed funding, workspace at GPHouse, access to all in-house tools and resources. The selected teams also receive guidance from local and international veteran mentors and industry experts.


The event featured product display, entertainment, and giveaways. The five startups Parking Koi, OnuKit, cWork, Search English and Digital Manush received a huge response from the attendees during the event. After going through a 4 months-long comprehensive mentorship program, it was a unique opportunity for the startups to connect to a larger audience and understand their product market fit. Speaking on the occasion, Michael Foley, the CEO of GrameenPhone said, “We will continue to work and improve the fabric of the nation and help all the startups by mentoring them, guiding them and picking them every time they fall down till they are successful”


All of the startups of GPAccelerator Batch 5 has been growing exponentially from the very beginning of the program. Here is a brief introduction of the five startups of Batch 5.


Search English:

Search English is an extraordinary platform for ordinary people to develop their English proficiency by overcoming the fear and shame. With the slogan, “Learn English to Change life”, it helps over 1.5 million people to improve their English online. Within a course of one year, Search English already has 1000+ success stories. During Startup Expo, Search English demonstrated their products and offered 50% discount for their audience.


Parking Koi:

Parking Koi is one of the most impressive teams of GPAccelerator Batch 5. Through its parking sharing platform, it helps the drivers to find the nearest available parking spaces using Parking Koi app. At the same time, it also creates an alternative earning source for the owners of the underutilized parking spaces. Parking Koi organized some interesting game shows at the event and demonstrated how Parking Koi app works.

Digital Manush:

Digital Manush is a service marketplace that brings everyday services at the doorstep. It helps people find expert service providers instantly using Digital Manush app. Concurrently, it also enables the local service providers to earn more money by generating leads through the platform. Digital Manush collected feedbacks from the participants of Startup Expo and offered attractive discounts for downloading Digital Manush app.



cWork is a micro job platform where an employer can get any big task done right away. cWork divides the task into smaller pieces and distributes it among a selected pool of distributors. Thousands of verified contributors complete the task on the go and submit it online. cWork ensures the quality of the task using Artificial Intelligence and forwards it to the employer. cWork received a huge response from the participants of Startup Expo. They have also received a good number of job orders from the event.



OnuKit is one of the most unique startups of GPAccelerator Batch 5. It’s a revolutionary app that helps SMEs to execute everyday business communication efficiently. Just installing the OnuKit app, a business owner can keep a track of business performance. During the Startup Expo, OnuKit showcased their product and let the audience give it a free trial.


The visitors enjoyed the expo and expressed their appreciation for holding such exhibition.

The journey of the current cohort of GPAccelerator will come to an end with the Investor Night to be held on 17th September 2018. On that day, the teams will present their ideas in front of investors, venture capitalist and other key stakeholders of the startup ecosystem of the country.
