Microtech Interactive Won The National Mobile Application Award 2016

Microtech Interactive has won the National Mobile Application Award 2016. Last Thursday, the results of the competition were announced at the Krishibid Institution Bangladesh. The competition is held for the second time in Bangladesh and 16 apps received prizes in eight different categories.

The award was given to the local companies for best mobile contents and innovative mobile applications. Honorable ICT minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak was present as the chief guest of the event. He said, “We will soon launch a new project under which 10 thousand new apps and game developer will be created. We are planning to create over 40 specialized labs at different universities.”

President of Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Service (BASIS), Mostafa Jabbar; fictionist Anisul Haque; and Additional Secretary to ICT Division, Md. Harunur Rashid also spoke on the event.

Microtech Interactive won the award in the education category. They won the award for their app “Neelimar Bioscope”. Neelimar Bioscope is an Application for Learning Bangla Alphabet with Books in 3D Adventure. Children can practice all the Bangla Alphabets in this App.

Augmented reality is one of the best ways to provide an engaging experience to children through personal devices. “Neelimar Bioscope” is doing an extraordinary job to modernize the primary education system through augmented reality. Children will enjoy learning alphabets with exciting 3D animated figures. This will not only grow their interest in learning but also enhance their imagination.

All winners from this National Contest will be nominated for World Summit Award 2017 to take part in the WSA-mobile global contest.

National Mobile Application Award 2016 is organized by the ICT Division of Ministry of Post & Telecommunication in Bangladesh in collaboration with World Summit Mobile Award, Bangladesh and supported by Google Developer Group Sonargaon & Bangla.
