Vietnam- based accelerator, Topica Founder Institute (TFI) recently completed its Bangkok semester with numerous Thai startups. The four-month rigorous programme finished in December with eleven startups successfully graduating from the program. The graduation showcase was held on 1st December at the C-Asean. Initially, 36 founders from 6 countries took part in the program from which 11 came out as graduates. The TFI program has given its graduates valuable insights into building scalable technology businesses.
Surawat Promyotin, the Executive Director of Bangkok Venture Club, said of the program, “TFI seems to provide a clear and sharp value proposition to startups that are early but serious. It’s not for dabblers, as the program appears to screen for maximum commitment and readiness within each batch. This is also helpful to mentors who might prefer to be especially selective about the teams they advise.”
8 graduating founders pitched their ideas and business models to over 40 venture capitalists and angel investors, such as Galaxy Ventures, GREE Ventures, CyberAgent Ventures, Unitus Impact, Carego, Innovatube, Digital Ventures, and the Bangkok Ventures Club, a newly-formed angel investing network that recently raised a US$20 million fund.
Here are the eight startups that pitched to investors.
