Digital Winners Asia To Be Held In November 1 &2: BuzzAlly And Socian Selected From Bangladesh

Two startups from Bangladesh, Socian and BuzzAlly has been selected to attend Digital Winners Asia. A total of 9 startups have been selected from Bangladesh, Malaysia, Myanmar, Pakistan, and Thailand. The teams are part of current and past participants of Telenor’s five startup incubation and acceleration program across the region. The companies have been selected based on the company’s life-cycle and potential to break into to new markets, as well as grow alongside Telenor.

Digital Winners Asia is the first-ever regional startup event of Telenor Group which will be launched on November 1-2 at Yangon, Myanmar. The event is focused on merging the creativity, energy, and expertise of 9 of the region’s upcoming startups in a two-day platform designed to empower participants to achieve scale across markets.

The participant startup comes from varieties of industries- marketing services, energy, artificial intelligence, tourism, and education. BuzzAlly and Socian are the selected startups from Bangladesh. Vase from Malaysia and Myanzen from Myanmar are selected. 3 startups are selected from Pakistan, namely- EcoEnergy, Edjunction, Fori Mazdoori. From Thailand, the selected startups are- Skootar, TakeMeTour.

The two startups from Bangladesh are already selected as the top 5s of Grameenphone Accelerator. GP Accelerator, powered by SD Asia, is a great attempt to help local tech startups with the resources they need to build and expand their business. The accelerator program is giving the startups great exposure not only in the local market but also beyond Bangladesh.

Socian is an Artificial Intelligence based Social Media Analytics Platform. It helps businesses understand and analyze user posts given on Social Media in a cost effective way and allows companies to compare with competitors to find where they are standing by using Socian’s service. The platform supports 81 languages for analytics and works with Post based analysis.

BuzzAlly is a mobile self- service marketing platform for SMEs. It acts as a marketing and engagement service that helps brands to connect with end-users over a missed call. This service will help to increase brand awareness and drive sales with authenticated purchases at POS. Getting more conversion from campaign and activation is easier through their service.
