NBR to Embrace Digital Efficiency

The Bangladesh National Board of Revenue (NRB) has announced plans to go digital in order to monitor tax-related court cases. The NRB expects this move to facilitate and expedite the settlements of 23,000 cases involving BDT 26,000 crore in revenue – a feat that would take much longer if done manually.

The NBR has formed a seven-member panel to conduct a feasibility study of the “Digital Suit Management System” software’s effectiveness in expediting tax cases and reducing backlog. The team will submit its findings in seven days.
